On a completely related note that I forgot to mention up until this point. We have a 'topic eater' at the bottom of the front page. Topics get kinda lost after the first 10 on the page. They can still be bumped back up, but you can't just browse later pages of threads. You have to have a link to the topic to revive it. Though, I'm thinking of bumping the front page capacity up to 20-25 threads instead of 10. Thoughts? |

Someone could innocently make a few topics and then some get eaten, with plenty of discussion disappearing. I'd be sad if I lost one of the many walls of text I wrote, I put a lot of effort and thought into those. If 20-25 threads displayed isn't enough, something else can probably work. Like having a link for every topic someone's made in their profile or something, but that could easily get cluttered. |
